News - StatesmanJournal.com Wow, this hasn't happened for a while, a snow storm hits Salem, OR today. We have not had snow for quite a while, all we ever get is rain! This is fun stuff, especcially since I do not have to go anywhere. I don't get people who risk life and limb to drive across town for no good reason. At 3 a.m. this morning someone was out in front of my house trying to drive thier truck up the hill in fron of my house. There was all kinds of snow in the road and they were getting nowhere. You'd think that after 10 minutes of trying they would give up. Especially at 3 in the morning. But no, they kep it up for about 45 minutes, and then finally gave in and bailed. Where do you have to go at 3 in the morning? Work maybe? Call in sick, God knows I did, for the morning part of my shift at least. People when it snows and its dangerous to drive, stay home and have a snowball fight, or cuddle up with a loved on in front of the fire.
